Background

The Rural Affairs, Islands and Natural Environment Committee undertook its pre-budget scrutiny in advance of the publication of the Scottish Government’s 2023-24 budget.

The Committee's pre-budget scrutiny focused on the impact of the resource spending review on the overall rural affairs and islands portfolio budget, and on the funding commitments associated with the implementation of the islands plan.
