The Committee was established in June 2021. It focuses on:

health services in Scotland, including performance, staffing and funding
NHS recovery and remobilisation
primary care, including dentistry, GPs, and pharmacy services
public health including mental health and wellbeing, and tackling drug and alcohol misuse
social care
sport and physical activity

Work of the Committee: Future work

As the parliamentary session draws to a close, the Committee is focused on completing scrutiny of a number of items of subordinate legislation and undertaking periodic scrutiny of certain public bodies including Food Standards Scotland and Public Health Scotland. As a record of its work during Session 6 and offering some key reflections on lessons learned, the Committee will also produce a Session 6 Legacy Report.
