That the Parliament congratulates the North Glasgow Community Food Initiative's Milton Food Hub and Community Garden, in the north of Glasgow, on being awarded £157,000 from the Scottish Land Fund to support the purchase of St Andrew’s Methodist Church; acknowledges that this fund moves the Milton Food Hub and Community Garden closer to being able to secure the purchase of the church building it has operated from since 2019, retaining it under community ownership and allowing the building to be fully repurposed to become a multi-use space for food, wellbeing, training and social activities; recognises the hard work and passion of the organisers to achieve this milestone, and wishes them all the best in their development of the church building.

That the Parliament welcomes the announcement of a £150 million investment by O-I Glass in its Alloa facility; understands that the investment includes over £100 million to rebuild and modernise one of the site’s existing furnaces with state-of-the-art, low-carbon technology, additional investment in a second new furnace currently under construction and £50 million for a new oxygen production facility adjacent to the site; notes that the Alloa site was first established in 1750 and is one of Scotland’s longest-running industrial facilities; recognises that this significant investment will help to secure over 500 jobs and ensure that Clackmannanshire remains a key centre for Scotland's manufacturing and innovation; further recognises that O-I’s continued presence in the town reflects the skill and dedication of the area's workforce, which has sustained glass production in Alloa for generations; believes that this investment supports Scotland’s green industrial transition by combining the area’s proud industrial heritage with modern, sustainable technology; commends O-I Glass for its long-standing contribution to employment in the Alloa area and its commitment to sustainability and community prosperity, and wishes the company every success as it continues to invest in Clackmannanshire's long-term future.

That the Parliament celebrates the AA Rosette Award for 2025–2026, which was awarded to Dhoom - Indian Streatery in Dunfermline; understands that this marks the fourth consecutive year that Dhoom has received such an honour; believes that the AA Rosette Award is one of the highest recognitions in the UK’s culinary world, celebrating restaurants that consistently deliver exceptional food, creativity and quality; acknowledges that the award is a recognition of the hard work, dedication and commitment of everyone at Dhoom in the delivery of authentic Indian street food with a modern, playful twist, using the freshest ingredients and serving every plate with passion and heart; acknowledges the commitment of the many customers who have supported and celebrated the culinary delights of Dhoom over the years in Dunfermline, and extends its very best wishes to everyone at Dhoom for continued success in the future.

That the Parliament congratulates the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce (AGCC) on being named the UK Chamber of the Year at the British Chambers of Commerce Awards; notes that the judges praised AGCC for its impactful campaigning on a managed energy transition, safeguarding jobs and collaborative work with other UK chambers; recognises what it sees as the critical importance of a chamber of commerce that both advocates for and supports businesses in the north east, and commends AGCC’s leadership in promoting innovation, resilience and economic growth across Aberdeenshire and the broader region.

That the Parliament congratulates Daniel Kelly, who is an up-and-coming Paisley filmmaker, on receiving a BAFTA UK scholarship; understands that Daniel, who is a student on the University of the West of Scotland's MA Filmmaking programme, is one of just six people in the UK to be awarded the scholarship in 2025; believes that, by getting the award, Daniel will now receive financial support throughout his university studies, as well as mentoring and increased access to the film and television industry; recognises that this achievement is just Daniel's latest, with his undergraduate film, Gas & Electricity, winning at both the Royal Television Society's Scotland Awards and Student Television Awards, and wishes him all the very best in his future career.

That the Parliament congratulates Mid Scotland and Fife region businesses on winning accolades at the recent Asian Restaurant Awards 2025; understands that Grampian Hotel and Shimla Dining Inn, in Perth won the Best Nepalese Restaurant award, Namaste Shimla Palace, in Cowdenbeath, won the Buffet Restaurant of the Year award, Shimla Dining, which is based in Coaltown of Wemyss, was bestowed the Curry Champion award, and New Shimla, based in Leslie, was named Best Indian and Nepalese Restaurant of the Year at the awards ceremony in Glasgow; believes that the prestigious awards are a testament to the hard work, dedication and commitment to delivering outstanding culinary excellence in the Mid Scotland and Fife region, and extends its very best wishes to all the businesses for continued success in the future.

That the Parliament acknowledges the reported concerns of residents on the Isle of Arran regarding proposals from Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) to develop an industrial site for timber transport at Whitefield Farm at King’s Cross; notes the efforts of the campaign group, Friends of King’s Cross, in raising awareness of the issue; understands that existing timber export arrangements in Brodick will be sufficient to meet the required felling levels for the next 15 years, which, it believes, makes a new timber export facility at King’s Cross unnecessary; believes that Whitefield Farm is used to grow food and is an integral part of the coastal strip landscape of Arran, and that the development of a timber export facility would lead to environmental damage; recognises that this strip is home to rare flora and fauna, which, it considers, could be put at risk by this facility; notes with concern the reported potential impact of noise levels of the facility on King’s Cross; believes that this area is cherished by residents and visitors, including the religious community on Holy Isle, for its tranquillity; understands that commercial forestry is now part of Arran’s economy, but believes that this must be balanced with the needs of the wider island community and economy, and urges the Scottish Government to engage with Friends of King’s Cross and FLS to ensure that the existing timber export arrangements in Brodick are maintained and that the reported negative impact of the proposed new timber export facility at Whitefield Farm is avoided.

That the Parliament congratulates the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum on its win in the Climate Action category at the 2025 West of Scotland Thistle Awards; understands that the Visit Scotland Thistle Awards celebrate the best in the Scottish tourism and events industry, with businesses representing accommodation, food and drink, events, visitor attractions, agritourism and adventure tourism, attending the ceremony at the Radisson Blu in Glasgow; notes the hard work and dedication of the whole team at the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, and wishes them every success for the future.

That the Parliament notes the efforts of all those who facilitated and attended the Ayr Rugby Club Ladies Day, which raised £7,875 for Ayrshire Cancer Support; understands that Ladies Day is a significant event in the club's social calendar, with proceeds going to worthy causes, and further understands that representatives from the charity have highlighted the positive impact the donation will have on those supported by Ayrshire Cancer Support across the region.

That the Parliament congratulates Capital City Partnership on the MacMillan Skills Hub being shortlisted in the Removing Barriers to Employability category of the prestigious 2025 SURF Awards for Best Practice in Community Regeneration, which identify and celebrate best practice, innovation and achievement in interventions that improve Scottish communities.
