That the Parliament congratulates Care & Repair in Lanarkshire, which is marking its 21st anniversary of becoming a registered charity; recognises what it sees as the organisation’s vital work across Lanarkshire in supporting older people and people who are disabled to live independently, safely and with dignity in their own homes; celebrates the launch of new projects that will aim to further strengthen its impact in the community; acknowledges the contribution of its staff, volunteers and directors past and present, and wishes Care & Repair continued success in the years ahead.

That the Parliament congratulates the Forres Rotary Club on the successful organisation and delivery of its annual fireworks display on 1 November 2025; recognises the hard work, dedication and community spirit displayed by Rotary members and volunteers who made the event possible; understands that the display brought together families and residents from across Moray for an evening of celebration and enjoyment; acknowledges that proceeds raised from the event will go towards supporting local causes and charities, and commends the Rotary Club of Forres for its continued commitment to serving the community in Forres.

That the Parliament congratulates the Elgin Rotary Club on the successful staging of its annual fireworks display, held on 1 November 2025; recognises the significant effort of members, volunteers and local partners in ensuring a safe and enjoyable event for the public; appreciates what it sees as the positive impact that such community events have in bringing people together and supporting charitable work across Moray; notes that the proceeds from the display will benefit a range of local initiatives, and commends the Rotary Club of Elgin for its ongoing contribution to the Elgin community.

That the Parliament congratulates Thorne Travel, in Prestwick, for being crowned Best Independent Travel Agent in Scotland at the 2025 Scotland's Business Awards; understands that Thorne Travel has branches in Prestwick, Kilwinning and Largs; believes that it prides itself on its extensive experience and exceptional customer service; notes Thorne Travel's fantastic achievement, and wishes it every success for the future.

That the Parliament congratulates the Eaglesham Knitting and Crochet Club for making a display of 15,000 poppies; recognises that the poppies have been positioned in the garden of Kirkstile Cottage and on its adjoining wall with Eaglesham Parish Church; understands that 25 women, who are members of the Eaglesham group, crocheted the 15,000 poppies, which are made of hard-wearing and weather-proof acrylic, in advance of Remembrance Sunday; acknowledges that the group members put considerable work into the display by spending approximately four weeks making the poppies; notes that members of the Eaglesham Knitting and Crochet Club can each make a single poppy in just seven minutes, and commends all of the women for their efforts to honour those who have fought to defend people's freedoms, democracy and way of life.

That the Parliament congratulates Lothian Buses for 100 years of night bus services in Edinburgh; understands that, since 1925, the service has grown to 18 routes running across Edinburgh, East Lothian, West Lothian and Midlothian; highlights that around 10,000 miles are covered weekly by the night buses; recognises that the network only continues to exist because of its ability to adapt, a product of its own evolution; acknowledges what it sees as the commercial risk and financial commitment taken by the company since its relaunch in 2002; congratulates Lothian Buses on 800,000 journeys undertaken in 2024 alone; celebrates 100 years of what it sees as reliable and comfortable journeys undertaken by the night bus, and highlights that in the last couple of decades, the city region has grown, evolved and become a 24/7 economy, that is in part sustained by the presence of the night bus network.

That the Rural Affairs and Islands Committee recommends that the Sheep Carcase (Classification and Price Reporting) (Scotland) Regulations 2025 [draft] be approved.

That the Parliament welcomes the new Scottish Trades Union Congress (STUC) report on Scotland’s low carbon and renewable energy economy; understands that the report found that low-carbon and renewable energy jobs increased from 26,000 in 2022 to 33,500 in 2023, with the majority of the increase coming from energy-efficient products, energy-efficient lighting and low-carbon emissions vehicles and infrastructure; notes that, according to the report, despite making up more than half of low-carbon and renewable energy exports, imports, and turnover, the offshore and onshore wind energy sectors provide just 20% of jobs created or sustained; further notes that, according to the report, for every £1 million turnover, around one job is created in offshore and onshore wind, compared to six jobs in renewable heat, 19 jobs in energy efficient lighting and 21 jobs in low-emission vehicles and infrastructure; believes that the current market-led approach to wind energy deployment does not benefit Scotland’s workers or communities, and calls on the Scottish Government to work proactively with the UK Government to guarantee a fairer approach to renewable energy and a Just Transition, based on models of community, municipal and public ownership.

That the Parliament congratulates JK Thomson on being named SME of the Year at the Midlothian and East Lothian Chamber of Commerce 2025 Business Awards; notes that JK Thomson now has one of the largest and most modern seafood processing plants in the country and processes a large variety of fish; understands that it has invested heavily in the Musselburgh area, supporting economic growth; commends the hard work of JK Thomson and its staff for their dedication and hard work, and wishes them the best for the future.

That the Health, Social Care and Sport Committee recommends that the Food Safety Act 1990 Amendment (Scotland) Regulations 2026 [draft] be approved.
