I am a trustee of The Trojan Women Project (Registered Scottish Charity) which creates a platform for Syrian refugees to tell their own stories through drama.

I was awarded the MBE, Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List 2016 and it was presented on 4 July 2016 at the Palace of Holyrood House, Edinburgh.

I am an Honorary Ambassador of the Ancre Somme Association, Scotland.

I am a member of the Order of St John.
