That the Parliament congratulates West Glasgow Kinship, which is in Glasgow, on receiving £5,742 from National Lottery Awards for All Scotland; notes that funding will support a four-night trip for kinship carers and those in kinship care; thanks the National Lottery for supporting family respite and activities; recognises the pressures on kinship carers and the value of respite; understands that this trip will offer important relief and shared experiences for families across Glasgow, and commends West Glasgow Kinship.

That the Parliament congratulates Fuse Youth Cafe Glasgow, operating in Glasgow, on receiving £157,476 from Community Action; understands that the funding will support adults and families in Shettleston affected by poverty, poor mental health and social isolation through weekly activities over two years; acknowledges Community Action for this sizeable investment; recognises the cafe’s role as a vital local hub for wellbeing and community connections; believes that these services reduce isolation and strengthen neighbourhood resilience in Glasgow, and wishes Fuse every success.

That the Parliament congratulates Boclair House Hotel in Bearsden, on being named Glasgow Venue of the Year 2025 at what it sees as the prestigious Your Scottish Wedding Awards for the second year running; understands that the annual awards recognise and reward brilliance in the field of customer service and experience, celebrating the finest in the wedding profession; expresses gratitude to the members of the dedicated team at Boclair for their continuing outstanding service; notes that Boclair House Hotel is part of the Manorview Hotels, which is an independent Scottish hospitality group and was named Hospitality Health Employer of the Year at the Scottish Bar and Pub Awards in 2024 in recognition of its efforts in team development, wellbeing and charity, and expresses appreciation and thanks to staff across the hospitality sector in Scotland whose hard work and efforts, it believes, have such a positive impact on society.

That the Parliament praises what it sees as the exceptional dedication of Scotland’s postal workers and delivery drivers; understands that Christmas is reportedly the busiest time of the year for Royal Mail, with the number of parcels and letters roughly doubling during this period due to the surge in online shopping and people sending personalised Christmas cards; recognises the long hours and hard work that goes into the job, especially during the colder months; acknowledges the additional challenges for postal workers and delivery drivers in rural communities as they aim to deliver the same timely and professional service that is expected in urban areas; acknowledges the increasing pressures on staff as a result of major changes to postal deliveries by Royal Mail and the need to ensure that the wellbeing of the country's posties and delivery drivers is prioritised, and wishes all staff at Royal Mail well for the Christmas period and beyond.

That the Parliament congratulates Stepping Stones for Families, in Glasgow, on receiving £229,431 from Fairer Life Chances; notes that funding will continue and further develop family support and play activities, including baby interaction groups for parents with infants; acknowledges Fairer Life Chances for backing essential early years services; recognises the importance of early intervention for child development; understands that these services provide critical help to families across Glasgow, and commends Stepping Stones.

That the Parliament congratulates Sunny Cycles, in Glasgow, on receiving £19,992 from National Lottery Awards for All Scotland; notes that the funding will support weekly accessible cycling sessions at Glasgow Green and Victoria Park for disabled and older people; acknowledges the National Lottery for supporting inclusive outdoor activity; recognises the physical and mental health benefits of cycling for older and disabled residents; understands that this increases mobility and social connection across Glasgow, and commends Sunny Cycles.

That the Parliament congratulates The Catherine McEwan Foundation, in Glasgow, on receiving £20,000 from National Lottery Awards for All Scotland; notes that the funding will deliver four Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Community Engagement Days co-designed with young people, parents and clinicians; acknowledges the National Lottery for investing in condition-specific community support; recognises the importance of peer connections and clinical access for young people with IBD; understands that such events reduce isolation and anxiety and improve outcomes for families in Glasgow, and congratulates the foundation.

That the Parliament congratulates The Tall Ship Glenlee Trust, which is in Partick, Glasgow, on receiving £15,200 from National Lottery Awards for All Scotland; notes that funding will support a volunteering programme at the Tall Ship Glenlee; acknowledges the National Lottery for supporting maritime heritage and volunteering; recognises the educational and community benefits of hands-on volunteering opportunities; understands that this will enrich cultural engagement in Partick and Glasgow, and congratulates the Trust.

That the Parliament congratulates Spirit of Springburn SCIO, in North Glasgow, on receiving £76,319 from Community Action; notes that the funding will run a community hub delivering a range of activities benefitting around 1,000 people and 40 volunteers; acknowledges Community Action for supporting impactful local infrastructure; recognises the hub’s role in reducing isolation and delivering practical support in Springburn; understands that this investment strengthens civic life in north Glasgow, and commends the SCIO.
