Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government what its response is to reports that it is considering pausing the implementation of the Deposit Return Scheme, and if this is the case, whether it will clarify whether it is considering such action in relation to small producers only, or all affected companies.

To ask the Scottish Government whether it, local authorities, NHS boards or Scottish Water can raise finance for capital spending from private finance sources, while keeping that finance from counting against public expenditure totals, and whether current policy encourages any such private finance schemes to help public authorities meet their statutory duties.
