1. Work programme(In Private):

The Committee considered its work programme, agreed that the focus of its next inquiry will be incentivising and de-risking the transition to net zero for business and to consider an approach paper at a future meeting.

The Committee also agreed that scrutiny of the disability employment gap, city region and regional growth deals, Scottish Government business support and ownership stakes in private companies, innovation and Scotland’s economic performance would be priority topics for next year’s work programme. Next year’s scrutiny work will also include Registers of Scotland, The Scottish National Investment Bank, the economic development agencies and Consumer Scotland.
