I welcome everyone to the second meeting in 2019 of the Committee on the Scottish Government Handling of Harassment Complaints. I ask everyone to turn off any electronic devices that might interfere with proceedings.
Agenda item 1 is a decision on whether to take in private item 2, to allow us to receive briefings on the papers that have been issued with the agenda. I propose that we then move back into public session to announce any decisions that are taken during the discussion. Do members agree to take item 2 in private?

Approach to the Committee’s Inquiry
Approach to the Committee’s Inquiry
During the private session, the committee considered briefings on the legal context in which the inquiry is operating, the ministerial code and the Scottish Government’s harassment procedures.
We expect a comprehensive response from the Scottish Government shortly to our letter of 26 February, which set out our expectation of the Government’s full co-operation in the gathering and production of evidence relevant to the inquiry. At our next meeting, which is on 28 March, we expect to fully consider and discuss the response from the Government.
I thank everyone for attending.
Meeting closed at 16:34.
