1 Decision on taking business in private:
The Committee agreed to take item 5 in private.
2 Bankruptcy and Diligence (Scotland) Bill:
The Committee took evidence from—
Alan McIntosh, Approved Money Adviser, Advice Talks Ltd;
Joe McMonagle, Money Advice Training and Development Officer, South Lanarkshire Council;
Natalia Mendel, Money Advice Manager, Dalkeith & District Citizen's Advice Bureau.
3 Bankruptcy and Diligence (Scotland) Bill (In Private):
The Committee considered the evidence heard earlier in the meeting, agreed to invite the Minister to give evidence and to seek an extension to the deadline for completion of Stage 1 scrutiny.
4 Pre-Budget Scrutiny 2024-2025 (In Private):
The Committee considered a draft letter to the Scottish Government. One minor change was agreed and the letter was agreed for publication.
5 Economic Activity of Public Bodies (Overseas Matters) Bill (UK Parliament legislation):
The Committee considered its approach to scrutiny of a Legislative Consent Memorandum lodged by Shona Robison, Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Finance and supported by Tom Arthur, Minister for Community Wealth and Public Finance (LCM(S6) 38). The Committee agreed to invite the Minister to give evidence the LCM.
