That the Parliament congratulates Samantha Gough, from Midlothian, on being appointed an MBE in the 2026 King's Birthday Honours for services to sport and the visually impaired community; notes her pioneering achievements as captain of the England Women's Blind Football team, her selection for the Great Britain Para Rowing performance pathway and her medal-winning performances in goalball; acknowledges her work with Sight Scotland in using her platform as an ambassador to raise awareness of visual impairment and champion accessible and inclusive sport; recognises the invaluable contribution that people such as Samantha make in demonstrating the resilience, achievements and potential of people living with sight loss, and wishes her continued success in her advocacy and sporting endeavours.

That the Parliament congratulates Y2K on securing £10,022 in funding from Tyne Esk; notes that this funding will be used to deliver their brand new Wellbeing Matters project, providing a weekly safe space for young people to learn more about wellbeing while spending time with their peers, building confidence and resilience; thanks Y2K and all their staff and volunteers for their invaluable work and dedication to improving the lives of young people in Midlothian.

That the Parliament congratulates Bowls Midlothian on receiving a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund worth £6,100; notes that this funding will be used to support its new Bowls Midlothian Youth Academy ensuring a pathway for the next generation of players; further notes that the youth sessions gives new players an opportunity to improve their skills and meet new friends while trying out a new sport; commends the work of everyone at Bowls Midlothian, including the volunteer coaches and young people involved in the Bowls Midlothian Youth Academy, and wishes them the best for the future.

That the Parliament congratulates Ploughing Championships (Scotland) Limited on receiving a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund worth £3,850; understands that this funding will support the delivery of the 2026 Scottish Ploughing Championships in Pathhead, and thanks the organisation for its valuable work in organising the championships.
