- early years, childcare and wraparound care
- schools, colleges and universities
- Additional Support Needs and support for learning
- apprenticeships and Skills Development Scotland
- child protection and looked-after children
- the Children’s Hearings system
- youth work
- children's rights and services
- Gaelic, Scots and BSL
- community learning and development
- the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry and Scotland's Redress Scheme.
