1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take items 4 and 5 private.


2. Scotland's supply chain:

The Committee took evidence from—

Richard Ballantyne , Chief Executive, British Ports Association;

Bryan Hepburn, Operations Manager, DFDS Group;

Kieran Jude Fernandes, Professor of Operations Management, Durham Business School; 

Maggie Simpson, Director General, Rail Freight Group;

Robert Windsor, Policy & Compliance Manager and Executive Director , British International Freight Association.




3. Subordinate legislation:

The Committee noted the following negative instrument— 

The Public Procurement (Government Procurement Agreement) (Thresholds etc.) (Amendment) (Scotland) Regulations 2021




4. Scotland's supply chain:

The Committee considered the evidence heard earlier in the meeting.


5. Subsidy Control Bill (UK Parliament Legislation):

The Committee considered its approach to the scrutiny of the legislative consent memorandum lodged by Kate Forbes MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Finance and the Economy(LCM(S6)9). The Committee agreed to seek written views and hold an evidence session.
