1. Decisions on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take items 5, 6, 7 and 8 in private.


2. Draft Climate Change Plan:

The Committee took evidence from—

Professor Sir Gregor Smith, Chief Medical Officer, Phillip McLean, Head of NHS Facilities and Environmental Sustainability, and Wendy Rayner, Lead NHS Scotland Circular Economy Adviser, Scottish Government.

Sandesh Gulhane declared an interest as a practising NHS GP.


3. Medical Training (Prioritisation) Bill (UK Parliament legislation):

The Committee took evidence on legislative consent memorandum LCM-S6-72 from—

Neil Gray, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care, Lucy McMichael, Head of Branch, Social Care Legal Services Unit, and Lucy Gibbons, Head of Health Skills Development and Delivery Unit, Scottish Government.

Sandesh Gulhane declared an interest as a practising NHS GP.


4. Public petitions:

The Committee considered the following petitions—

PE2156: Improve access to ADHD diagnosis and treatment across Scotland

PE1924: Complete an emergency in-depth review of Women's Health services in Caithness & Sutherland

The Committee agreed to close PE2156 and to keep PE1924 open. The Committee agreed to highlight both petitions in its Session 6 Legacy Report.

Sandesh Gulhane declared an interest as a practising NHS GP.


5. Subordinate legislation (in private):

The Committee considered a draft report on the Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Integration Joint Boards) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2025. The Committee agreed to report on the instrument and to consider a revised draft by correspondence.




6. Medical Training (Prioritisation) Bill (UK Parliament legislation) (in private):

The Committee considered a draft report, and agreed to consider an updated draft via correspondence.


7. Draft Climate Change Plan (in private):

The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 2.


8. Legacy Report (in private):

The Committee considered its approach to a Session 6 Legacy Report, and agreed to consider a draft in private at a future meeting.
