3 Post-legislative scrutiny: Alcohol (Minimum Pricing) (Scotland) Act 2012:

The Committee took evidence from—

Clare Beeston, Public Health Intelligence Principal, George Dodds, Chief Officer, Lucie Giles, Public Health Intelligence Principal and Tara Shivaji, Consultant in Public Health, Public Health Scotland.

Sandesh Gulhane declared an interest as a practising NHS GP.

The Committee took evidence on the Mental Health (National Secure Adolescent Inpatient Service: Miscellaneous Amendments) (Scotland) Regulations 2023 [draft] from—

5 Subordinate legislation:

The Minister for Social Care, Mental Wellbeing and Sport to move—S6M-10534—That the Health, Social Care and Sport Committee recommends that the Mental Health (National Secure Adolescent Inpatient Service: Miscellaneous Amendments) (Scotland) Regulations 2023 [draft] be approved.

After debate, the motion was agreed to by division: For 6, Against 4, Abstentions 0.

The Committee considered the following negative instrument— National Health Service (General Medical Services Contracts and Primary Medical Services Section 17C Agreements) (Miscellaneous Amendments) (Scotland) Regulations 2023

The Committee agreed to write to the Cabinet Secretary for NHS Recovery, Health and Social Care.

The Committee agreed to make no recommendations in relation to the instrument.

The Committee further considered its approach to the scrutiny of the Bill at Stage 1.
