The Committee agreed to take item 3 in private.

2. Challenges and reforms facing the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service:

The Committee took evidence from—

Colin Brown, Executive Council Member for Scotland and John McKenzie, Scottish Regional Secretary, Fire Brigades Union;

and then from—

Stuart Stevens, Chief Officer, Andy Watt, Deputy Chief Officer and Deborah Stanfield, Interim Director of Finance and Contractual Services, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service;

Mhairi Wylie, Chair, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Board.

3. Challenges and reforms facing the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (In Private):

The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 2. The Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Government and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service on various issues raised during the evidence session.
