1 Decision on taking business in private:
The Committee agreed to take item 4 in private. The Committee also agreed that consideration of the oral evidence heard and draft reports on, the Coronavirus (Recovery and Reform) (Scotland) Bill, should be taken in private at future meetings.
2 Coronavirus (Recovery and Reform) (Scotland) Bill:
The Committee took evidence on the Bill at Stage 1 from—
Kate Wallace, Chief Executive Officer, Victim Support Scotland;
Dr Marsha Scott, Chief Executive Officer, Scottish Women's Aid;
and then from—
Emma Jardine, Policy and Public Affairs Adviser, Howard League Scotland;
Allister Purdie, Interim Director of Operations and Teresa Medhurst,Interim Chief Executive, Scottish Prison Service .
3 Photocopying of prisoners’ mail:
The Committee considered further correspondence on the change to prison rules which allow for the photocopying of prisoners' mail.
4 Review of Evidence (in private):
The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 2.
