1 Pre-Budget Scrutiny:
The Committee took evidence as part of its Pre-Budget Scrutiny from—
Wendy Sinclair-Gieben, HM Chief Inspector of Prisons for Scotland, HM Inspectorate of Prisons for Scotland.
2 National Care Service (Scotland) Bill :
The Committee reviewed the evidence submitted to the Health, Social Care and Sport Committee on the criminal justice provisions in the Bill. The Committee agreed to hold a one-off oral evidence session at a future Committee meeting.
3 Correspondence:
The Committee considered recent correspondence. The Committee agreed to write to the Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Veterans on the Working Group's report on Facilitating Peaceful Assemblies. The Committee also agreed to write to the Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Veterans regarding the litigation following the prosecution of individuals in respect of the acquisition and administration of Rangers Football Club.
4 Pre-Budget Scrutiny (In Private):
The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 1.
5 Work programme (In Private):
The Committee considered its work programme. The Commitee agreed to write to the Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Veterans regarding virtual trials and fees for access to court transcripts.
