Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)

To ask the Scottish Government what assessment it has made of its compliance with the duties and requirements set out under Part 2 of the Marine (Scotland) Act 2010 and, in particular, how it considers that it is meeting its obligations in relation to (a) fisheries management, (b) protection and enhancement of the marine environment, and (c) the spatial planning and management of Scotland’s marine areas.
