Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)

To ask the Scottish Government whether it will implement the recommendation by the Auditor General in the report, Early learning and childcare: Progress on delivery of the 1,140 hours expansion, for it to plan how to gather data on demand for both funded early learning and childcare, and childcare paid for directly by parents.

To ask the Scottish Government whether it will provide an update on what action the (a) Scottish Police Authority and (b) Chief Constable took in light of the recommendation in the Scottish Police Federation’s 2019 Deep Dive Interim Report that "Oban Police Station should be closed forthwith [as] it does not provide a safe working environment".
