Convener

Stewart Stevenson

Agenda item 2 concerns the choice of convener—the procedure is explained in paper 2. The Parliament has agreed that only members of the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party are eligible for nomination as convener, and I ask Douglas Ross to nominate a member for the role.

I am delighted to nominate Margaret Mitchell.

There is no other nomination.

Margaret Mitchell was chosen as convener.

I now have great pleasure in swapping seats with Margaret Mitchell so that she can chair the remainder of the meeting.

I thank you all for your support.
