Scottish Parliament Subordinate Legislation Committee Tuesday 29 October 2002 (Morning)

[The Convener opened the meeting at 11:33]

The Convener (Ms Margo MacDonald):

I welcome everyone to the 29th meeting in 2002 of the Subordinate Legislation Committee. We have received apologies from Murdo Fraser, who is doing something in the constituency. He did not say what he was doing—sooking up to somebody no doubt, as that is what we all do.

In whose constituency is he doing something?

He has one, but I do not know what it is called. Is it Fife? You are not sounding very new Labour today, Brian.

Fife is a regional constituency.

I have never been a fan of proportional representation.

We must pursue this matter later.

At a subordinate meeting.

We might have a lot in common on that, but we will stick to the agenda as it is.
