Scottish Parliament (Disqualification) Order 2003 (draft)
We asked the Executive a question about the reference to a tribunal that appeared to have been split into three separate tribunals. The references in the legislation therefore seemed imperfect to the committee. The Executive has acknowledged that the entry could have been worded slightly differently, although it takes a somewhat legalistic view about whether it is actually inaccurate. We could perhaps draw this instrument to the attention of the lead committee and the Parliament on the grounds that its form or meaning could be clearer. It is not a great disaster.
