Deputy Convener

Under item 2, the committee will choose a deputy convener. I refer members to paper 1, which is a note by the clerk that explains the procedure for choosing a deputy convener.

The Parliament has agreed that only members of the Scottish National Party are eligible to be chosen as the committee’s deputy convener. That being the case, I invite nominations for the position.

I nominate Chic Brodie.

Chic Brodie was chosen as deputy convener.

I welcome Chic Brodie as the new deputy convener of the committee.
