Convener

Agenda item 2 is the choice of the committee's convener. Members are aware that the Parliament has agreed that only members of the Labour Party are eligible to be nominated as convener of the committee. That being the case, I seek nominations for the position.

I nominate Frank McAveety.

I second that nomination.

Mr Frank McAveety was chosen as convener.

I demit office and pass over to our illustrious convener.
