Decision on Taking Business in Private

The Convener (Ruth Maguire)

Good morning, everyone, and welcome to the 32nd meeting in 2018 of the Equalities and Human Rights Committee. Can we please ensure that all electronic devices are on silent mode?

Agenda item 1 is a decision on whether to take in private item 3, which is a discussion of our approach to stage 2 of the Age of Criminal Responsibility (Scotland) Bill. Do committee members have any comments?

Mary Fee (West Scotland) (Lab)

Convener, I raised last week in public session my concerns about our evidence taking in relation to the bill and asked for us to look at it again. On reflection and after discussion with other committee members, I am content that we take the item in private today.

Thank you. Does the committee agree to take item 3 in private?

Members indicated agreement.
