1. Decisions on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take items 3 and 5 in private.


2. Client experience of Social Security Scotland’s redetermination and appeals process:

The Committee took evidence from—

Tim Barraclough, Executive Director, Tribunals and Office of the Public Guardian and Lesley Black, Director Tribunals, Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service;

Gayle Devlin, Deputy Director of Health and Social Care, Social Security Scotland.


3. Client experience of Social Security Scotland’s redetermination and appeals process (In Private):

The Committee considered the evidence heard under item 2.


4. Poverty and Inequality Commission Appointments (In Private):

The Committee considered a draft report. Various changes were agreed to, and the report was agreed for publication.


5. Data Protection and Digital Information Bill (UK Parliament legislation) (In Private):

The Committee agreed its approach to the scrutiny of the legislative consent memorandum lodged by the Scottish Government (LCM(S6)36b).
