1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee decided to take items 4 and 5 in private.


2. Health and Wellbeing of Children and Young People:

The Committee took evidence from—

Dr Josie Booth, Senior Lecturer in Developmental Psychology, University of Edinburgh;

Mike Corbett, National Official (Scotland), NASUWT;

Kevin Kane, Policy and Research Manager, YouthLink Scotland;

Jacqueline Lynn, Head of School and Community Sport, SportScotland;

Judy Edwards, Service Manager, Stirling Council.

 

The following interests were declared—

Sue Webber as a councillor at City of Edinburgh Council.

Evelyn Tweed as a councillor at Stirling Council.


3. National Planning Framework 4 :

The Committee took evidence from—

Professor Jamie Pearce, Professor of Health Geography, School of GeoSciences, University of Edinburgh;

Dr Matt Lowther, Head of Communities and Local Partners, Public Health Scotland;

Irene Beautyman, Place and Wellbeing Partnership Lead, Improvement Service.

 

The following interests were declared—

Stephanie Callaghan as a councillor at South Lanarkshire Council.


4. Health and Wellbeing of Children and Young People:

The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 2.


5. National Planning Framework 4:

The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 3 and agreed to write to the Local Government, Housing and Planning Committee as the lead Scottish Parliamentary Committee with responsibility for scrutiny of the draft framework.
