1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take item 4 in private.


2. City Region and Regional Growth Deals:

The Committee took evidence from—

Rt Hon. Ian Murray, Secretary of State for Scotland, UK Government;

Alasdair MacDonald, Deputy Director for Policy , UK Government ;

and then from—

Anthony Daye, Interim Director of Place and Enterprise, South of Scotland Enterprise;

Zoe Laird, Head of Growth Deals and Digital, Highlands and Islands Enterprise;

Derek Shaw, Director of Scaling Innovation and Matt Lockley, Head of Partnerships, Scottish Enterprise.


3. City Region and Regional Growth Deals (In Private):

The Committee considered the evidence heard earlier in the meeting.


4. New Deal for Business (In Private):


The Committee considered a paper by the Clerk and agreed to hold an evidence session.
