2 Wildlife Management and Muirburn (Scotland) Bill:
The Committee took evidence on the Bill at Stage 1 from—
Gillian Martin, Minister for Energy and the Environment, supported by Hugh Dignon, Head of Wildlife Management Unit, Leia Fitzgerald, Team Leader, Wildlife Legislation Team and Norman Munro, Solicitor, Scottish Government.
3 Pre-Budget Scrutiny (in private):
The Committee considered a draft letter to the Scottish Government. Various changes were discussed and the Committee delegated to the Convener responsibility for finalising the letter.
4 Agriculture and Rural Communities (Scotland) Bill: (in private)
The Committee considered its approach to the scrutiny of the Bill at Stage 1. The Committee agreed the schedule of oral evidence sessions. The Committee also agreed to review the evidence heard, and consider its draft Stage 1 report, in private at future meetings.
