1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take agenda items 3, 4, 5 and 6 in private.


2. The Auditor General for Scotland's Work Programme: April 2025 - March 2026:

The Committee took evidence from—

Stephen Boyle, Auditor General for Scotland;

Alison Cumming, Executive Director, Performance Audit and Best Value and Mark MacPherson, Audit Director, Audit Scotland.


3. The Auditor General for Scotland's Work Programme: April 2025 - March 2026 (In Private):

The Committee considered the evidence heard at agenda item 2 and took further evidence from—

Stephen Boyle, Auditor General for Scotland;

Alison Cumming, Executive Director, Performance Audit and Best Value and Mark MacPherson, Audit Director, Audit Scotland.


4. The Auditor General for Scotland's Work Programme: April 2025 - March 2026 (In Private):

The Committee considered the evidence heard at agenda items 2 and 3 and agreed to seek the views of other Parliamentary committees on the Auditor General for Scotland's draft work programme. 


5. The 2022/23 and 2023/24 audits of the Water Industry Commission for Scotland (In Private):

The Committee agreed a draft report on the 2022/23 and 2023/24 audits of the Water Industry Commission for Scotland and agreed to delegate to the Convener responsibility for finalising a draft report for publication.


6. Work programme (In Private):

The Committee considered its work programme and in relation to the 2023/24 audit of Ferguson Marine Port Glasgow (Holdings) Limited, the Committee considered and agreed key issues for inclusion in a draft report.

The Committee also considered correspondence from the Permanent Secretary, Scottish Government and agreed to close its scrutiny of the report on Fiscal sustainability and reform in Scotland.
