The Committee continued its consideration of a draft report on the legislative consent memorandum LCM-S6-61, supplementary legislative consent memorandum LCM-S6-61a and second supplementary legislative consent memorandum LCM-S6-61b. Various changes were agreed to, and the report was agreed for publication.
The Committee agreed to take item 6 in private.
The Committee took evidence on the National Bus Travel Concession Schemes (Miscellaneous Amendment) (Scotland) Order 2026 from—
Jim Fairlie, Minister for Agriculture and Connectivity, supported by Kelly Minio-Paluello, Solicitor, Scottish Government, Carole Stewart, Bus Strategy and Funding Unit Head and Eilidh McCabe, Concessionary Travel Policy Manager, Transport Scotland.
Sarah Boyack indicated she holds a pass entitling her to concessionary travel.
Edward Mountain indicated he is eligible for concessionary travel.
Jim Fairlie (Minister for Agriculture and Connectivity) was invited to move motion S6M-20054—That the Net Zero, Energy and Transport Committee recommends that the National Bus Travel Concession Schemes (Miscellaneous Amendment) (Scotland) Order 2026 [draft] be approved.
The motion was not moved.
The Committee took evidence from—

The Committee agreed to defer consideration of the evidence heard to a future meeting. The Committee also agreed to defer consideration of the evidence heard at its meetings on 16 December and 6 January to a future meeting.
