1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take items 3 and 4 in private.

2. Scotland's train and bus services:

The Committee took evidence from—

Paul White, Director, Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) Scotland;

David Frenz, Operations Director, Stagecoach;

Duncan Cameron, Managing Director , First Bus Scotland;

Sarah Boyd, Managing Director , Lothian Buses;

and then from—

Joanne Maguire, Managing Director, ScotRail Trains Ltd;

Liam Sumpter, Managing Director, Network Rail Scotland, representing Scotland’s Railway;

Graham Kelly, Commercial & Procurement Director, Caledonian Sleeper Ltd;

Martin Bignell, Scottish and North of England Representative, Rail Freight Group (RFG).

Douglas Lumsden declared an interest as a former Councillor for Aberdeen City Council.

The Committee considered the evidence heard earlier in the meeting.

4. Work programme (in private):

The Committee considered its work programme. The Committee considered and agreed a letter to Ferguson Marine Port Glasgow (FMPG). The Committee agreed to hold evidence sessions in the near future on hydrogen aspects of Project Willow. The Committee discussed possible witnesses for these sessions. It agreed to consider a revised list of witnesses by correspondence and to delegate authority to the Convener for final sign-off.
