1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take items 7 and 8 in private.


2. Prevention of Domestic Abuse (Scotland) Bill:

The Committee took evidence on the Bill at Stage 1 from—

Pam Gosal, Member in Charge of the Bill and Agata Maslowska, Senior Clerk, Non-Government Bills Unit, Scottish Parliament;

Charlie Pound, Head of Policy and Research, Scottish Conservative MSP Group.


3. Prostitution (Offences and Support) (Scotland) Bill:

The Committee took evidence on the Bill at Stage 1 from—

Ash Regan, Member in Charge of the Bill, Scottish Parliament;

Maren Schroeder, Senior Researcher, Office of Ash Regan MSP.


4. FAIs/Deaths in custody:

The Committee agreed to note the correspondence from the Scottish Government.


5. Member's Bills (In Private):

The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier under agenda items 2 and 3.


6. Member's Bills (In Private):

The Committee agreed to issue calls for views for the Prevention of Domestic Abuse (Scotland) Bill and the Prostitution (Offences and Support) (Scotland) Bill.


7. Challenges facing businesses and vulnerable individuals in Scotland from the risks of cybercrime (In Private):

The Committee considered its approach following the oral evidence session of 14 May 2025. The Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Government, the Federation of Small Businesses Scotland, the Scottish Chamber of Commerce and the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations. The Committee also agreed to take any further approach to this scrutiny, any consideration of evidence or any draft report or letters, in private, at all future meetings.


8. Pre-Budget Scrutiny (In Private):

The Committee considered its approach to Pre-Budget Scrutiny for 2026/27. The Committee agreed to issue a call for views. The Committee also agreed to take any further approach to the draft budget, consideration of any evidence heard and any draft report or letters, in private, at all future meetings and to delegate responsibility to the Convener and clerks, for approving any claims made for witness expenses under the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body witness expenses scheme.
