Although I am in no doubt about the need to increase public transparency, I should note for the record that, in my experience, the panels have been pretty proactive in communicating with MSPs about their work.My first question concerns creating greater clarity and understanding with regard to measuring Scottish Water's performance.

On the convener's point about the removal of patients from lists at the request of the contractor, paragraph 20 of schedule 5 to the regulations states that"Subject to paragraph 21, a contractor which has reasonable grounds for wishing a patient to be removed from its list"must notify those grounds to the patient except where"in the reasonable opinion of the contractor … it is not appropriate for a more specific reason to be given".To me, that seems strange. As with other MSPs...
