You spoke about politicians making the decisions. Before I became an MSP, I was a councillor, and I saw a lot of good localised community action, particularly when there was storm damage such as we had recently and during Covid-19.
I will highlight a couple of things that jumped out at me as I was going through the report that are completely reflective of my experience, as an MSP, of speaking to constituents about their issues with social care services.
Under the bill as currently drafted, a person would not be required to register following a meeting with a minister or an MSP provided that the minister or MSP had initiated the meeting.
