In reaching a decision on the planning application the planning authority is expected to have regard to all material factors, including consultee views and representations submitted to them. As this is a live planning application it would not be appropriate to comment on the merits of the case so as not to prejudice the decision making process.

The regulations will also make a small amendment to provisions relating to stadia and live events: a local authority will now only be required to notify the Scottish Ministers of an application for an exemption on capacity in Levels 0, 1 or 2 when directed to do so by the Scottish Ministers.

Councils are happy to pay their care staff the Living Wage Foundation rate of £7.85—most councils in Scotland are doing that now—but they are not prepared to pay us the fees so that we can pay the living wage.
It should be the case that only those with lived experience can feed into it—the lived experience of the mums who, right now, might be travelling that treacherous 100-mile journey that takes more than two hours to cover, as they do battle with sightseers on the north coast 500 on the most important day of their lives.
