The Equalities, Human Rights and Civil Justice Committee recommends to the Scottish Parliament that the Children’s Legal Assistance (Miscellaneous Amendments and Consequential Provisions) (Scotland) Regulations 2021 [draft] be approved.
As was outlined previously, the European Commission is responsible for scrutinising whether financial assistance given to undertakings by public authorities breaks EU rules.
The table below shows grants of legal assistance for the five-year period shortly after the implementation in June 2013 of the legal aid-related aspects of the 2011 Act.
Whilst subject to the outcome of any consultation our starting point for a training programme is to establish super users for SPS staff and train them in April for them to then support SPS colleagues during the roll out.
