Business owners talked about the advantages of offering both online and in-store sales, supporting their high street presence, while also recognising the investment, skills and time needed to do this successfully.
At the beginning of each new session a new Register is set up for both new and returning members.

The Scottish Government should ensure that education and training is underpinned by a one-stop digital resource providing a hub for online training for professionals, and perinatal and infant mental health information for professionals, women and their families.
RLP reduces the time and effort required to protect and register deeds, building upon the move from paper to online services introduced by the Digital Submission Service, and enabling the reuse of data.

A further COVID-related response in Budget 2021-22 is the investment of £25 million to support digital inclusion amongst school‑aged children, expected to support up to 70,000 children from lower income households – and significantly enhanced online and remote learning options for pupils.

The Committee asked the Minister whether public bodies publishing details of island communities impact assessments could do so via a centralised online point. The Minister and his officials agreed to consider this suggestion for the future.
The Committee also met formally in April 2020 (via online video conferencing) to hear from the Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and to consider its work programme.
