Good morning and welcome to the 28th meeting in 2017 of the Economy, Jobs and Fair Work Committee. I ask everyone present to turn their electrical devices to silent so as not to interfere with proceedings. I have received apologies from Gil Paterson.
I also welcome to the meeting Alex Neil, who is substituting for Gordon MacDonald and will be with us for the next few meetings, and I ask him to declare any relevant interests.
Per my entry in the register of members’ interests, convener, I am a part-time adviser to Ethx Energy Ltd and I am also a co-convener of the cross-party group on Brexit in the Scottish Parliament.
