Good morning. I welcome members to the 36th meeting in 2014 of the Delegated Powers and Law Reform Committee, and I ask them to switch off any mobile phones.
Agenda item 1 is the choice of a new deputy convener of the committee. The Parliament has agreed that members of the Scottish National Party are eligible to be chosen as the deputy convener. That being the case, I invite nominations for the post.
I nominate John Mason.
Given that John Mason is not saying anything, I take it that he is happy to take on that role.
John Mason was chosen as deputy convener.
That gives me the opportunity to thank Stuart McMillan and Richard Baker, who previously served on the committee. They have moved on to pastures new and have taken their skills with them.
