Deputy Convener

The Convener:

The next agenda item is the election of a deputy convener. Members have the information that they need. The procedure is the same as that for electing the convener. The Parliament agreed that only members of the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party are eligible to be chosen as deputy convener of the committee, so I need somebody to nominate John Scott because he is the only Conservative party member on the committee.

I nominate John Scott.

We do not need a seconder.

I am happy to second the nomination.

Okay. There are no other nominations.

John Scott was chosen as deputy convener.

I congratulate John Scott.

Thank you.
