The fifth item on the agenda is consideration of a paper on issues in the European Commission's 2006 work programme that the committee has decided should be tracked. Annex A sets out the progress that has been made. Do members have comments on any of the subject headings?
Following my reference to JESSICA and JEREMIE—joint European support for sustainable investment in city areas and joint European resources for micro to medium enterprises—in the parliamentary debate on the European Commission work programme a couple of weeks ago, George Lyon has written to me on the matter. I have given a copy of the letter to the clerk, who might wish to circulate it to the rest of the committee.
I see that no action is expected between JESSICA and JEREMIE before the autumn.
I recall that on its visit to Brussels, the committee was fascinated by their activities.
