At its first meeting on 25 June 2026, the Committee agreed to hold evidence sessions in September with stakeholders and the Cabinet Secretary for Climate Action and Rural Affairs on priorities within her portfolio.
At its meeting on 3 September 2026, the Committee agreed to undertake an inquiry on data centres. It also agreed to undertake work on wildfires and related issues.
At the same meeting, the Committee agreed that its scrutiny preceding the Scottish Government's Budget 2027-28 will focus on the Joint Budget Review. It also agreed to write to the Scottish Government and to a list of witnesses to invite to give evidence.
