1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take item 4 in private.


2. Subordinate legislation:

The Committee considered the following negative instruments—

Age of Criminal Responsibility (Scotland) Act 2019 (Supplementary Provision) (Jurisdiction) Regulations 2021 (SSI 2021/420)

Age of Criminal Responsibility (Scotland) Act 2019 (Places of Safety) Regulations 2021 (SSI 2021/421)

The Committee agreed to make no recommendations in relation to the instruments.


3. Women's unfair responsibility for unpaid care and domestic work:

The Committee took evidence from—

Satwat Rehman, Chief Executive Officer, One Parent Families Scotland;

Catriona Melville, Policy Engagement and Campaigns Officer, Age Scotland;

Margaret Lance, BEMIS and Ethnic Minority National Resilience Network;

Dr Patrycja Kupiec, Chief Executive Officer, YWCA Scotland;

Susie Fitton, Policy Manager, Inclusion Scotland.


4. Women's unfair responsibility for unpaid care and domestic work (In Private):

The Committee considered the evidence it heard under agenda item 3 and agreed to write to the Scottish Government.


5. Miners’ Strike (Pardons) (Scotland) Bill (In Private):

The Committee considered and agreed its approach to engagement on the Bill at Stage 1.
