1. Subordinate legislation:

The Committee considered the following negative instrument—

Teachers’ Pension Scheme (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2024 (SSI 2024/147)

The Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Government with questions in relation to the instrument.


2. Pre-Budget Scrutiny 2025-2026:

The Committee took evidence as part of its Pre-Budget Scrutiny from—

Professor Iain Gillespie, Convener, Universities Scotland;

Shona Struthers, Chief Executive Officer, Colleges Scotland;

Professor John McKendrick, Commissioner for Fair Access;

Gareth Williams, Head of Policy, Prosper;

and then from—

Richard Maconachie, Director of Finance and Karen Watt, Chief Executive, Scottish Funding Council.


3. Evidence Session (In Private):

The Committee reviewed the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 2.
