Future business
The Committee considers its work programme regularly so as to maintain a rolling programme of business. Alongside referred work such as legislation and petitions, the Committee’s main business over coming months is set out below.
Inquiry into role of local government and partners in delivering net zero
This major inquiry went live in November 2021. The Committee expects to continue taking evidence at meetings into September, and go on visits, and to have reported to the Scottish Parliament by autumn 2022. More information in the “current business” tab.
Inquiry into energy price rises
This short “snapshot” inquiry is likely to run over April/ May.
Ferries
The Committee has agreed to hold an inquiry into Scotland’s ferry services, running over the second half of 2022. More information will be provided in the “current business” tab once the inquiry goes live.
