Taken together as the sum of the parts they make a huge contribution to those families and their communities, which is again something that we must not lose sight of.When the call centres were being developed, people liked the sound of a Scottish or Irish accent; however, we have since seen changes in the approach to delivery of such services, including the offshoring of jobs and the automation of services. That was a direct challenge from Stewart Stevenson, who has absolutely pinned it down. The use of percentage reductions is good for stability in the policy effort that could be needed, but the absolute quantities would probably be better for a longer-term science-based view on the amount of carbon dioxide that we can afford to put into the atmosphere.
