Incineration and Energy from Waste - Executive Summary
The CCPu announced plans to consider measures to ensure new EfW plants are more efficient and how waste infrastructure can be ‘future-proofed’ for carbon capture and storage (CCS).
In its 2021/2022 Programme for Government, the Scottish Government announced that it would review the role of incineration in Scotland's waste hierarchy.
