These prolapses are not life threatening as I am instructed by a male gynaecologist (who will never experience this) but it has very great impact on everyday life especially with bladder incontinence. All it may need is the insertion of a pessary but sadly the nurses doing this rurally have a very limited education in this matter.

However, whilst the report highlighted calls for the Bill to make additional provision for individuals requesting assisted dying, as well as for the healthcare professionals supporting them, to be able to access tailored psychological support, it should be noted that it is possible that placing a further statutory duty on employers of healthcare professionals to provide such support may stray into a reserved area of law (specifically H2 of schedule 5 of the Scotland Act 1998).
